Inner Light is a collaborative network of visionaries dedicated to spiritual transformation. Our aim is global and personal healing, through the omnifaith energy of Love and the revealing of our own Inner Light. Aligning with the sacred interconnectedness of all Life, we embody spiritual Oneness, appreciate individualized expressions, and honor all paths that lead to Truth, Justice, and Sustainability.
Inner Light exists to support the personal healing needed to create global transformation and to usher in the global transformation that is the natural by-product of individual healing. Inner Light’s role in the global revolution is cultivating the consciousness of Oneness by healing the sense of separation. We promote new paradigms for living that help people reshape how they perceive themselves and the world around them. With an awareness of the interdependence and sanctity of all life, more holistic choices are made that support mutual good while respecting the planet and its resources. This includes dismantling the “isms” of oppression, and leveling the playing field so that all may reach their divine potential.
Inner Light was founded in 1997 in Santa Cruz, CA by Rev Deborah L. Johnson informed by her experience as a founding member of Agape International Spiritual Community in Los Angeles 12 years earlier. Standing in radical inclusivity we are a complex and integrated array of gender expressions, family structures, races and ethnicities, economic levels and political persuasions. From vegans to carnivores, 12-steppers to wine connoisseurs, interfaith to atheist, we are becoming the world we want to see, working through our differences to be a living example of Oneness in diversity.

Rev Deborah L. Johnson is the founder of Inner Light Ministries, an omnifaith spiritual community in Santa Cruz, CA, and is the founder of the former Motivational Institute, an organizational development consulting firm specializing in cross-cultural relations.
Rev Deborah serves on the Leadership Council of the Association for Global New Thought and the board of Pachamama Alliance working with indigenous tribes to protect the Amazonian rainforests and sacred headwaters. An instructor at several institutes of higher learning, she holds a BA in Economics from USC, an MBA in Urban Land Economics and Real Estate Finance from UCLA, a ministerial degree from Holmes Institute, and an honorary DD from Agape University. Author of The Sacred Yes and Your Deepest Intent, Rev Deborah is a Delta Sigma Theta Public Service Sorority legacy.
Rev Deborah is a public speaker, business consultant, and lifelong social justice advocate known for her ability to bring clarity, civility, and humor to complex and emotionally charged issues. Her passion is facilitating processes that promote the healing of cultural and socio-political divides in order to bring forth “The Beloved Community.” Wherever she goes, her message is one of possibility, inclusion, empowerment, and transformation.

Change is afoot. People are actively searching for ways to navigate and to rebuild within an ever changing social, political, economic and environmental landscape. Within us is the courage, faith and capacity to awaken from spiritual amnesia, treat one another with loving-kindness, heal systemic oppressions, and re-imagine a world in which we all can thrive. The hunger, the thirst for the practical applications of the Universal Spiritual Principles we teach is skyrocketing.
Inner Light is repositioning itself to address this growing demand, and as a spiritual leader, so am I. To help illumine our way forward, I have launched the RevD Now Podcast Channel with 3 new podcast shows:
